East London Service changes 3/3/12 By George & Naeem

Today's line up of service changes was quite extensive in  East  London. I of course tried to document them as much as possible but as always everything does not go as swimmingly as we want it to so lets proceed.

Route: 309

Route 309 runs between Bethnal Green, London Chest Hospital and Canning Town station  today we witnessed this route change hands over from First Capital East to Hackney Community Transport Group A.K.A CT Plus with brand new 61 & 12 Reg Optare Solos with surprisingly 2 doors which is a first for both CT Plus and London itself. Lets take a look at a few shots of the buses.

Although there were new buses running on the route all of the buses have not arrived yet so a few 60 reg examples from route W5 have been allocated to run on the route temporarily.

Route: 275

Also today route 275 which runs between Barkingside and St James Street had again changed operation but from Arriva to Stagecoach with new E400s without the new E400 "Facelift" as Stagecoach prefer the old body although there is just one problem which has been quite a common one throughout the routes today, ADL have not finished building the buses and are no way near entering service from Leyton Garage (T) so Tridents will run on the route until the E400s are delivered.

Next up in the line are routes W15 and W16 which today transferred from Arriva to First run from Lea Interchange (LI) for W15 and Northumberland Park (NP) for route W16 As you may have heard it has been confirmed that First's (NP) base will be sold on to GAL nearing the end of march GAL will put their logos on the buses but as to fleetcodes the mystery remains.
Sadly I am unable to show you pictures of the routes as the buses looked exactly the same as the ones ordered for the W14 (POST HERE) so if you would like to view them please fell free to.

Route: W11 a downgrade!
W11 which passed hands from First to Arriva Today funnily enough using W14,W15,W16's ex buses (ADL's  which are actually older than the previous buses)  again the reason for this is Alexander Dennis have still yet not finished building the E20D bound for the route.
