Today witnessed the start of route: W3s allocation changed a full Enviro400 operation to help oust out the old DLAs that moved to Lea Valley (LV) back in October aswell as route: W3 to make room for recently converted bendy-bus Route: 29 to move into Wood Green (WN) from its previous Garage.
This route is one of three to be replaced with brand new Enviro400s to help oust out old buses these routes include 144 and 279 in which I will be trying to get more information as to when their E400s will be in service as
Arriva's dates have been a bit of a shambles at the moment.
Many enthusiasts have mixed emotions about Arriva's DLAs. The Sreg DLAs were the first ever "Low Floor Buses" in London and the first of the first ALX400 Arriva's DLA1 which is now a driver training vehicle, really that is disappointing because it is a symbol of the low floor generation which was rolled out on every new bus since.

At Last... Someone has finally decided to do a story on the W3. Huge credit to you. I need to know though, is the conversion a graduall process?

ReplyDeleteIt was not really meant to be a gradual process but as ADL are overflowing with orders and Arriva
Being funny then it looks like they will slowly be rolled out on the routes

ReplyDeletenot necessarily on weekends but rolled out on the routes when the buses are available to be used also I am unsure weather some of these buses have even been commissioned yet as they are due to be enter service this month
ReplyDeleteToday (13/02/12), only 1 new bus was on the W3. It was either T 201 or T 202. The previous day, there were about 4-5 in sevice but they were from 341. Why is this?
